LAUSANNE, Switzerland -- The International Olympic Committee has hired a new chief financial officer and a director of international co-operation. The IOC says Dr. Lana Haddad, an Iraqi and British national, will begin her role as financial officer in March 2014. She is currently an associate director at Procter & Gamble International, where she has worked for 19 years. The IOC says Haddad is "brings a wealth of expertise in financial control and reporting, financial planning, audit, compliance, treasury and cash management." Lindsay Glassco, a Canadian, was appointed director of international co-operation and development. She is currently president and CEO of Special Olympics Canada, which oversees programs for people with intellectual disabilities.
