BOLZANO, Italy -- Emma Friesen of North Vancouver and Aimee Harrison of Winnipeg took fourth spot on womens three-metre synchro on Friday to open the sixth and final stop on the FINA Grand Prix diving circuit. Tania Cagnotto and Francesca Dallape of Italy won the gold with 311.10 points, Liu Tian and Luo Ying of China second at 287.70 and Maria Marconi and Elena Bertocchi of Italy third at 254.40. Friesen and Harrison, who were sixth entering their last dive, nearly snared the bronze finishing at 254.19. On womens 10-metre tower, Celina Toth of Victoria posted the second best score in the semifinal to advance to Saturdays final. Jiaming Zhu of China is in first place after scoring 311.00 in the semis followed by Toth at 292.20 and Villo Kormos of Hungary is third at 276.95. Taylor Olanski of London, Ont., was 12th overall in the semis and did not advance. The final is Saturday. The competition was held outdoors and featured rain and cool weather in the morning preliminaries before clearing up in the afternoon. "This afternoons semi was perfect weather and I was a little more nervous but I was confident in what Ive done to prepare for this," said Toth. "I was consistent throughout the event and nailed the dive I missed in the morning. I scored better in the semi which is an improvement for me over the past few Grand Prix Ive been to." Toth ranked fourth in the prelims. "We started off stressing about the weather but I wasnt letting that bother me," she said. "I was laughing it off and ready to dive. I missed one dive this morning but I was sharp and confident." On mens three-metre springboard, Nicholas Beaupre was 11th overall in the semis and did not advance and Vincent Riendeau of Pointe-Claire, Que., was 16th in the prelims. Chicago Bulls Shirts . Snedekers best result so far this year is a tie for eighth place at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. He sits 113th in FedEx Cup standings and has dropped to 31st in world rankings — not the results expected from a player ranked fourth in the world only two years ago. Cheap Bulls Jerseys . After a 99-97 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night, his Celtics coaches and teammates have only positive things to say about the Toronto-born rookie. https://www.cheapbulls.com/. The eighth-year point guard played in his 500th career game on Sunday, a 98-93 win over the Orlando Magic. Does he feel like hes played in that many games? "No," he said initially, before reconsidering. Stitched Bulls Jerseys . -- David Ortiz saved his only hit for a key moment for the Boston Red Sox. Bulls Jerseys China . -- The Green Bay Packers have signed quarterback Graham Harrell to the active roster from the practice squad and placed tight end Andrew Quarless on injured reserve.Third base is a relatively shallow position, giving the best hot corner options even more relative value. Leaving aside now-first-baseman Miguel Cabrera, the best of the bunch has been Texas Adrian Beltre who, over the past five seasons, sits just behind Tampa Bays Evan Longoria in runs, home runs and RBI, but has a batting average nearly 30 points higher, enough to get the nod, particularly since Beltre has stayed relatively healthy throughout his career. Thats not to say that Longoria isnt great; hes hit 30-plus homers three times and he played 160 games last season, but missed 117 in the previous two years, so that hangs over any decision to take him. The injury bug has caught the Mets David Wright in two of the past three seasons, causing him to miss 50 or more games in 2011 and 2013, but hes also a career .301 hitter who has power and has added at least 15 stolen bases per season in eight of the past nine years. Washingtons Ryan Zimmerman has belted at least 25 homers in four of the past five seasons, and that consistency makes him better than most at the position. While those have the longer track record, there are some that are newer to the hot corner that also have put up big numbers. Oaklands Josh Donaldson had a breakout season in 2013 and Seattles Kyle Seager has back-to-back 20 home run seasons. St. Louis Matt Carpenter, who might have more value at his previous position of second base, but he led the NNational League with 126 runs scored last year, while hitting .dddddddddddd18, and that works at any position. Beyond that, there are more challenges involved. San Diegos Chase Headley followed up a breakthrough 2012 season with a dramatic drop-off in 2013, so take your chances. Pittsburghs Pedro Alvarez led the National League with 36 home runs last season, but also whiffed a league-high 186 times on his way to a .233 batting average, so you pay a price to get that power; probably enough to avoid Alvarez unless hes filling a corner infield spot. In his mid-30s and coming an injury-shortened season, Milwaukees Aramis Ramirez can still mash when healthy -- more than 25 home runs in eight of the past 10 seasons. A couple of rising stars may still be a year or two away from being huge fantasy contributors, but its worth keeping Baltimores Manny Machado, coming back from knee injury, and Colorados Nolan Arenado have potential thats worth investing in at some point. Others with upside include Torontos Brett Lawrie, who is still untapped potential, and San Franciscos Pablo Sandoval has dropped some weight, so might be a bit of a sleeper. Really, beyond the top handful of choices at third base, a lot of the appeal is in the eye of the beholder Scott Cullen can be reached at Scott.Cullen@bellmedia.ca and followed on Twitter at http://twitter.com/tsnscottcullen.
