After its initial debut on the hardwood in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 quickly made its way onto the streets and into the skate parks on the feet of professional and amateur skateboarders alike. Beyond its performance-engineered construction, its color palettes began intriguing skaters looking to define street style nike revolution within their sport, and its presence of the feet of Lance Mountain in a 1987 video secured the icon as a certified classic in the skate community. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in black/white will release on November 8th at Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers. This original colorway from 1985 should follow suit with other OG AJ1 colorways in terms of it being a highly coveted an item, so if you've been fancying a pair, purchase without hesitation. A few people nitpick the nike zoom structure use of the word  Banned' because of the special 2011 release, others have said things here and there about the word  Bred' and of course those Instagram flicks of questionable humor. But what all of this really amounts to, fellow sneakerheads, is a form of love. Notice that absolutely no one has said that the black and red Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG needs any cosmetic changes whatsoever. It has been perfect since it caused a quantum leap in sneakers in 1985 and people love it so intensely that they fret over the tiniest details in maintaining its legacy.
